For many years, Plymouth Church has recognized the vast potential to enhance its financial and environmental stewardship through solar energy. It does not take a lot of study to see that our facility offers a vast expanse of largely unobstructed, south- and east-facing roof, perfect for the deployment of solar panels. What’s more, recent federal legislation allows The Plymouth Church to benefit from tax rebates that were previously unavailable to churches and nonprofits.
It is a gift not just to ourselves, but to future generations. Just as we have benefited greatly from the great care of our church’s forebears, we in turn continue to maintain our church and grounds in excellent condition for those generations who will come after us.
God asks us to be good stewards of Creation, and solar reduces our carbon footprint and our reliance on fossil fuels.
