FALL FAIR 2024 DETAILS

Fall Fair is just two months away! Our Fair is a major fundraiser for Plymouth Church, and it's fun! Whether you are moving tables, baking pies, or sorting books, helping out becomes time well spent with good friends. Discover the wisdom, humor, and talents in our church!

White Elephant Sale

We are accepting donations in August. Dust off and drop off in the Pre-K classroom, opposite Greg's Office. Did it bring your home joy? If it is clean and and in good condition it canbring someone else joy! This is one of our biggest attractions. People stand in line each year to shop our wild and wonderful assortment of kitchen and household goods, small appliances, linens, decorations, camping and sports equipment and sometimes musical instruments!

Note: White Elephants cannot accept old electronics, computers, skis, thermometers, or light bulbs. No kitchen appliances bigger than a microwave are acceptable; no furniture that will not fit in an SUV or minivan. Please hold small furniture, bulky sporting and camping equipment at home until September 25th when we can begin setting up outside.

If you have any questions, contact Dawn Geiser, Glenn Pruszinski, or Leona Dalton.

Kid’s White Elephant Sale

All those toys, games and puzzles (you) and your kids have outgrown? They could bring another child all the fun they brought to you! Parents, this is a great opportunity to teach your children the value of sharing. Make it a family day to clean your rooms. (It'll help you make room for all the things you'll find at the Fair! If you have any questions, contact Jaime Prince.

Luncheonette

Our Luncheonette offers delicious homemade sandwiches, soup, chili, and apple pie (by the slice) to fortify Fair-goers and workers so they may take advantage of all that our Fair has to offer without hunger pains! Many hands make light work when you join this crew in the awesome Parish Hall Kitchen. They start early on Fair day to prepare wonderful things for us to eat. Don’t miss Jerry’s awesome Chowder and Joe’s Chili. Contacts: Meg Doucette, Ruth Griffin, Jody Comley

We need dozens and dozens of cookies, as well as all sorts of baked goods to sell throughout the day. Stay tuned for more information regarding Apple Pie making night, Cookie Walk cookies (yup, they walk!), Bake Shoppe requests, and Luncheonette details.

Books

We are accepting book donations in August! Neatly stack books at the end of the classroom hall. No CDs, VHS, vinyl, or textbooks. Fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, and children's books are all appreciated! If you have any questions, contact Kathy and Don Copson. They have lovingly managed the Book Store for many years and are looking for two interested book lover trainees to take over the reins next year.

Children's Books

Children’s and Young Adult books your family has outgrown are bound to be loved by another. Our book sales have supported many teachers and classrooms with our past family favorites. Dust off your donations and stack them on or under the tables at the very end of the classroom hallway (starting Sunday, July 30).
