The Year of the Greatest Commandment

Throughout this church year, our guiding direction will be the greatest commandment: “You shall love the Holy One, your God, with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. And you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
(Matthew 22:35-40, Mark 12:28-31, Luke 10:25-28, and John 13:31-35.)
It is found in all four gospels. It is arguably what Jesus is most known for, aside from the Resurrection. It’s good news we can hold onto for ourselves. It also informs our choices. It guides not just how we feel about ourselves, but how we treat others.
